Ralph Martin
Ralph Martin, J.D. is President & CEO of RKRM Consulting Inc., a firm that specializes in adult and juvenile reentry, and offers an array of services to ex-offenders and employers, a law clerk, motivational speaker and a community volunteer focused on working with men and women in prison and ex-offenders. During the 2009 Florida Justice Mr. Martin served as the keynote speaker. Also, Mr. Martin has given various graduation speeches for kids enrolled in at-risk schools in the State of Florida such as a Home Builder’s Institute and Goodwill’s COMPASS Program. Mr. Martin’s hard work and dedication led to an appointment on Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s Ex-Offender Task Force, which was established by Governor Jeb Bush in April 2005 and whose responsibilities included identifying barriers to successful reentry and providing recommendations that would eliminate these barriers. Also, Mr. Martin has been appointed by Mayors Richard Crotty of Orange County and Buddy Dyer of the City of Orlando to the Educational Facilities Authority and Citizen's Review Panel for Human Services.
In 1994, eleven days after graduating from high school graduation Mr. Martin was arrested and subsequently pled guilty to burglary and grand theft charges and sentenced to 364 days in the Miami-Dade County Jail. After being released from jail Mr. Martin enrolled in Florida A&M University and received his BS in Criminal Justice Cum Laude, MS in Criminal Justice from Florida International University and his law degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepherd Broad Law Center. While in law school Mr. Martin was the winner of the Feinrider Upper Class Moot Court Competition, member of Moot Court Honor Society, Board of Editors Moot Court Honor Society, President of the Black Law Student’s Association, Order of Barrister Recipient, and Vice Chair for the Southern Region of the National Black Law Student's Association.
